Duo Siloti

DUO SILOTI

A symbiotic couple on and off stage, the Duo Siloti is formed by the pianists Olga Monakh and Nicolas Bringuier. They were quickly noticed by the international press for their complicity, their virtuosity and the originality of their programs.

It was after their meeting in 2002 in the class of the great teacher Klaus Hellwig at the Berlin University of the Arts that the two artists began to play intensively together, sharing the same love for the four hands and two pianos repertoire. Shortly after, they were already called to play for an official reception given by the President of the Republic of Germany.

Performing in numerous festivals in France, Switzerland and Germany, they are also regular guests in China, where they have made several tours, playing in more than fifteen cities across this country.

Their extremely extensive repertoire includes most of the original works for piano duet, as well as numerous transcriptions of symphonic works.

They have notably played together Mozart's Double Concerto at the Berlin Philharmonic and at the Vienna Musikverein with the the Wiener-Concertverein under the direction of Yoel Gamzou

WHY SILOTI?

As they moved to Nice in 2021 after more than twenty years in Berlin, they took the name of Duo Siloti. The great pianist Alexander Siloti (1863-1945) was born in the same city than Olga -Kharkov- and has also lived for many years in Germany. He was a pupil of Liszt and Tchaikovsky, the teacher and first cousin of Rachmaninov, an editor as well as an amazing concert organiser.

Siloti embodies the great romantic tradition, which the Duo Siloti strives to pass on with passion.
